Eligibility for Application

New students from the second semester, transfer students who have completed at least one semester with an average grade of 2.5 or above

New students from the second semester, transfer students during the transfer semester, at the end of every semester

How to apply

  • 1) Application for the interdisciplinary major is limited to twice during the enrollment period, applied at the end of each semester
  • 2) The professor in charge of the interdisciplinary major reviews all applicants and notifies the academic affairs office of the approved list
  • 3) The academic affairs office makes the final decision on the list of approved interdisciplinary major students and announces and notifies the university
  • 4) The interdisciplinary major begins the following semester after approval

Credit Completion and Graduation Qualification

  • 1) Interdisciplinary major students must complete at least 36 credits of interdisciplinary major courses
    However, the minimum credits required for each major are determined by the committee in charge of the major
  • 2) Courses of the interdisciplinary major completed before the application are recognized as credits towards the major
  • 3) If courses from the main major overlap with interdisciplinary major courses, the recognized credits are limited to half of the required credits for the major
  • 4) It's not possible to graduate with only the interdisciplinary major

Abandonment of the Interdisciplinary Major

Anyone wishing to abandon the interdisciplinary major must submit a "Cancellation of Interdisciplinary Major Application" to the academic affairs office by the end of the semester

Degree Award

For interdisciplinary major students who meet all course requirements necessary for graduation in the primary major and other general requirements, a degree certificate indicating the main major and details of the interdisciplinary major, in accordance with university regulations, will be awarded.
