Exchange Students

Overview

What is an Exchange Student?
An exchange student system where students enrolled at our university study for one semester at a foreign university with which an exchange agreement has been made. They learn the host country's language, culture, etc., and then return to get their credits recognized at our university.

Candidates

  • Those who have completed over two semesters but less than seven at our university. Among them, those who have earned at least 15 credits per semester will be selected through interviews.

Expected Outcomes

  • Provides an opportunity to undertake academic or research work in a different cultural context for one semester, breaking the constraints of domestic and local universities, fostering global experiences, and cultivating the capacity as global talent.
  • Enhances understanding of cultural diversity, not just specialized knowledge, within a global learning environment.

Selection Criteria

  • Academic performance: 50%, Interview: 40%, Foreign language score: 10%
    • Extra points will be awarded for participation in activities supervised by the Institute of International Affairs (e.g., Buddy program).

Credit Recognition

  • After returning as an exchange student, within the credit recognition period, refer to the grade transcript from the host university. Complete the Certificate of Earned Credits from the partner university, get it signed by the department head, and submit it with a copy of the host university's grade transcript within the credit recognition period.

Selection Criteria

Among those who have completed more than two semesters but less than seven semesters at our university and have earned at least 15 credits per semester, those with an average grade point of 3.0/4.5 or higher for all academic years (excluding F grades) are eligible.

※ Enrolled in Kyungwoon/Exempted from tuition in dispatched school (Depending on the university, you might need to pay for student association fees, etc.)
