Overseas Language Study

Overview

What is an Overseas Language Study Abroad?
It cultivates communication skills and a practical sense of English as an international common language, as well as experiences in understanding of Anglo-American culture at institutions affiliated with our university or top institutions selected by bidding, thus fostering global leaders with a multicultural competence-based global citizenship.

Candidates

  • Offering opportunities to all enrolled students who wish to participate in the training (Open for All). Approximately 300-400 students are selected every semester after an interview based on their academic performance (grades, TOEIC).

Expected Outcomes

  • Stepping out of the limited framework of domestic and local universities to experience globalization and cultivate capabilities as a global talent.
  • Improving language skills and boosting self-confidence motivate them to prepare for overseas employment or entrepreneurship.
  • Awarding special credits upon meeting the completion conditions.

Application Open

  • Summer and Winter (Every March and September)
  • How to Apply: Fill out the application form on the designated submission day and submit it to the Institute of International Affairs (Building 2, Room 211).

Credit Recognition

  • A maximum of less than 21 credits for one semester, recognizing 1~3 credits.
  • For the previous semester average of 4.00 or higher, a maximum of less than 23 credits is recognized.

  • Last 2 years from the application deadline / In-house mock TOEIC scores are acceptable

Copy of Passport
  • If you have a passport: The expiration date should be at least 6 months after the start date of the course.
  • If you don't have a passport: Since it's the preparation period for the language course, you need to apply for a passport as soon as possible. Before getting a passport, please visit your nearest city or provincial office with all the necessary documents. (Note: You can apply for a passport at any city or provincial office regardless of your residential address.)
