Kyungwoon University's Institutional Review Board (IRB) was established under the "Bioethics and Safety Act." Its primary role is to prevent and minimize physical and psychological risks to individuals participating in research involving humans, human-derived materials, or the use of personal information. The IRB reviews research plans involving humans in advance and conducts investigations and oversight of ongoing research if necessary.
