Program Overview

In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and globalization,
welfare demands and needs are diversifying and evolving. The
Department of Social Welfare enables students to establish and
study traditional theoretical frameworks of social welfare,
accurately observe and diagnose the reorganized welfare field,
and develop effective and efficient welfare policies. The
department fosters professional social workers with practical
competence to realize a spiritually and materially prosperous
and ethically sound welfare society.

Educational Objectives

1. Establish morality and a spirit of service, and foster
values for the protection of basic human rights.
2. Establish a specific knowledge structure on the theory and
practice of social welfare.
3. Understand the changing social welfare needs and demands in
the 4th Industrial Society and the era of globalization.
4. Strengthen field-based education to enhance practical
capabilities.
